Lake Worth
Lake Worth is a city a part of West Palm Beach. It’s situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and it has a population of about 50,000 people. Lake Worth was originally called “Laudvilla,” which is from an old Spanish word meaning “the beautiful vale.” The town was established by two brothers named William and Benjamin Hester in 1870. Originally they wanted to call their new settlement “Palm City” but there were already too many places with that name so they decided to use the last letter from each of their names instead.

It is home to three major museums: the Museum of Natural History & Science, which features exhibits on natural history and science; ArtCenter/South Florida an art gallery founded by four artists in 1972; and the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium where visitors can enjoy interactive exhibits about marine life and local ecosystems.
